Bermuda Fertilization & Weed Control
Round 1: Pre-Emergence Herbicides is applied to prevents spring annual weeds such as crabgrass, annual bluegrass, some selected weeds such as chickweed, spurge, goosegrass. Fertilizer that is applied is potassium to help the grass withstand drought, stress, and disease. It will make the grass roots stronger and hardier to help withstand summer heat. (Applied late February through the end of March)
Round 2: Apply a high nitrogen mix to promote green growth and optimum shoots and strength for the summer heat. Potassium is also applied to help regulate a plant's carbon dioxide. This will help the heartiness and vigor of the grass growth. Pre-Emergence Herbicides is applied to prevents summer annual weeds. (Applied between Late March through May.)
Round 3: Apply a high nitrogen mix to promote green growth and optimum shoots and strength for the summer heat. Phosphorus is applied to promote new growth and encourage production. Potassium is also applied to help regulate a plant's carbon dioxide. This will help the heartiness and vigor of the grass growth. Weed Control is also applied to control pop up weeds. (Applied between late May to early July)
Round 4: A slow release high nitrogen mix to promote strength for the summer heat. Phosphorus is applied to encourage production and maintain health of turf. Potassium is also applied to help regulate a plant's carbon dioxide. This will help the heartiness and vigor of the grass growth. Weed Control is also applied to control pop up weeds if temperatures are low enough. (Applied between Late June to early August.)
Round 5: A slow release high nitrogen mix to promote strength for the summer heat. Phosphorus is applied to encourage production and maintain health of turf. Potassium is also applied to help regulate a plant's carbon dioxide. This will help the heartiness and vigor of the grass growth. Weed Control is also applied to control pop up weeds if temperatures are low enough. (Applied August to early September)
Round 6: Pre-Emergence Herbicides is applied to prevents spring annual weeds such as crabgrass, annual bluegrass, some selected weeds such as chickweed, spurge, goosegrass. We will also spray a pre-emergence to treat for Poanna that will be coming up in the spring. Post emergent will also be sprayed. Fertilizer that is applied is potassium to help the grass withstand drought, stress, and disease. It will make the grass roots stronger and hardier to help withstand winter chill and drought. (Applied between September and October.)
Round 7: Pre-Emergence Herbicides is applied to prevents spring annual weeds such as crabgrass, annual bluegrass, some selected weeds such as chickweed, spurge, goosegrass. Fertilizer that is applied is potassium to help the grass withstand drought, stress, and disease. It will make the grass roots stronger and hardier to help withstand winter chill and drought. (Applied between November and December.)
Round 8: A soil amendment is added to help the soil keep the right PH level to promote a healthy and well balanced turf throughout the year. (Applied late December through early February)
